Photos taken on trips to nature are especially valuable on social networks. The opportunity to publish them is much apprieciated by their authors. Is it because of the beauty of the landscape, awareness of the fresh air benefits or is it just becouse nature photos are so rare in an everyday life?
We don't spend much time in nature, but we collect impressions of it, give them names, create stories that we will remember.
The name Seasonarium has a double meaning:
1. Impressions of the outdoor season – season during which we spend more time outside
2. Highlighting the transieny of modern phenomena and initiatives that appear, develop, decline and fall into oblivion, called trends or seasons.
The graphics from this series, in accordance with the message, bear associative names such as: Camping Season, Holydays Season, Season of a Linden Tree Scent, Nettle Tea Season, Environmental Protection Season...
The text on the project wrote by Biljana Jotić, Serbian curator
Seasonarium arworks are presented in Belgrade SRB (Grafički kolektiv, Šumatovačka), Trebinje BIH, Bački Petrovac SRB, Novi Sad SRB, Sint-Niklaas B, Karlovac CRO, Kranj SLO, Budva MNE...
Technique
The graphics are a combination of drawings and photographs, digitaly printed. The theme of plants and the style of overlapping semi-transparent layers have been characteristic of my work for 15 years.
I create small natural oases as shelters from the city's concrete and city hustle and bustle. I try to use graphics to provoke the audience to stop and think - take a break. I start the creation of artworks on camping trips. I collect leaves and objects from nature that can be placed in the scanner. I take photos, draw and paint, and then, guided by emotion and experience, I convey my impressions of my stay at that location. I appreciate spontaneous, unexpected compositions from nature, that in complete contrast to geometry, create a specific rhythm of irregular textures.
